How can bodywork and craniosacral therapy enhance your treatment? Somatic Psychotherapy can benefit from adjunctive, hands on, body-focused care to support resourcing, healing and growth.
Blending body-centered therapy with traditional psychodynamic, humanistic, and evidenced-based treatment modalities, I customize treatment to your needs.
My focus is to help individuals connect to their whole self. By providing a safe and non-judgmental space, exploring challenges and strengths, and customizing a treatment plan, we can support your natural capacity to heal.
Somatic Psychotherapy invites body awareness to the forefront of our experience. Through curious and mindful exploration, Somatic inquiry invites gestures, posture, and sensations to deepen awareness, develop resources, and assist recovery.
Providing Consulting Services for fellow mental health providers and academic and business organizations.
Depression, anxiety, and mood dysregulation are some of the most common and uncomfortable mental health challenges of our time. Finding our path and reconnecting with sources of meaning opens us to growth and liberates from sticky ruts. I take a multi-disciplinary approach to provide immediate symptom relief and also address underlying causes and conditions. By consulting with psychiatrists as needed, I support a comprehensive and coordinated team approach.
From the bottom-up, I work with the impacts of trauma on the nervous system to allow the natural unfolding of the client's healing process. Additionally, I use cognitive approaches to intervene from the top down: how trauma has impacted beliefs about the self, others, and the world.
I specialize in EMDR and Somatic treatment of sexual, physical, combat, and emotional Trauma.
Often, our biggest challenges and most potent lessons emerge in our intimate relationships. I utilize a psycho-physical model to build capacity for vulnerability, trust, kindness, and communication.
The Guest House
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice.
meet them at the door laughing and invite them in.
Be grateful for whatever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

I just carry hope in my heart. Hope is not a feeling of certainty that everything ends well.
Hope is just a feeling that life and work have a meaning.
