I started my training at the Center for Somatic Psychotherapy which prioritized developing therapeutic and ethical relationships with patients. This continues to be the foundation for all treatment I offer. My clinical training includes Somatics, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psycho-Physical Couples Counseling, Mindfulness, Expressive Arts, Relational, Sand Tray, and EMDR.
After studying Contemplative and Somatic Psychology at Naropa University in Boulder, CO, I earned a Master's in Somatic Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. My clinical training at the Center for Somatic Psychotherapy emphasized developing therapeutic relationships and applying various Somatic modalities. Later, I worked with acute mental health presentations as clinical administrator for a residential crisis facility in Sonoma County, CA. Moving further northward, I practiced as a therapist for low-resource children and families in Mendocino County, CA. In addition to a private practice in Monterey, I served as a Primary Therapist at Harmony Place Monterey, a Partial Hospitalization program specializing in trauma treatment and IFS. Starting Spring 2019, I opened a Private Practice in Fairhaven, Bellingham Washington.
With a background in performance art and Buddhist psychology, I bring both into my practice. Earlier in life I trained at the Performance Art Conservatory of Carmel, where my practical training in the mind-body connection formally began. Along the way, I have attended several Buddhist retreats and courses to practice and develop in body-oriented meditation and transformative insight.
